SALT  RECRYSTALLIZATION  PLANT 

SILTRADE made a study on the salt production sector in Bangladesh in 1990 and found that yield of salt from crude salt was very low and quality of edible salt was also extremely poor. Impurity in edible salt produced by local factories was found as high as 15%. SILTRADE sourced the technology from Europe which could achieve higher yield and over 99% pure salt.   

The first salt re-crystallization plant in Bangladesh was supplied by SILTRADE in 2003 and three more plants in later years.  

Besides higher yield and better quality, these plants also have long operating life due to use of special metals and materials in the manufacture of equipment. The first salt plant supplied by SILTRADE is running for last 13 years without any major problem.  

SILTRADE can supply complete salt re-crystallization plants with capacity of 10-30 tons per hour. Larger plants can also be supplied. Salt plants supplied by SILTRADE can achieve 99% yield with salt purity of up to 99.70%.  

As a downstream integration SILTRADE can also offer caustic soda and soda ash plant.
